How freaky.fi works, fees, security, supported chains, wallets, and why comparing quotes across aggregators gets you better trades.
What is freaky.fi?
freaky.fi queries 10 DEX aggregators in parallel every time you swap, and shows you the best rate. Your wallet executes the trade directly through the winning aggregator's contracts. No middleman, no freaky.fi contract in the path.
Does freaky.fi charge any fees?
No. The quote you see is the amount that arrives in your wallet. freaky.fi adds nothing on top. See Fees.
Why not just go to an aggregator directly?
For the same reason you'd check multiple shops before buying. Each aggregator finds routes differently. By making them all compete, you get a better price than going to any single one.
Does freaky.fi ever touch my tokens?
No. freaky.fi never touches your tokens. Your wallet talks directly to the aggregator's contracts. We find the best quote - your wallet does the rest.
How are my token approvals handled?
Approvals expire automatically when possible (Permit2), and are limited to the exact swap amount when not (Exact Approvals). Never unlimited. See Security for the full picture.
What wallets work?
Any EVM-compatible wallet - MetaMask, Rabby, Rainbow, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect, and others. Connect from the swap interface.
What chains are supported?
26+ EVM chains including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, and BSC. Full list at Supported Chains.
Can I swap any token?
Yes. The interface shows a curated token list by default, but you can swap any token available on a supported DEX. Paste the contract address into the token selector to load it directly.
Where is my swap history?
Every swap is recorded at freaky.fi/history. See Swap History.
Why do prices change between quoting and swapping?
Quotes refresh automatically every 30 seconds while you're on the swap page. Once you start the swap flow (e.g. approving a token), freaky.fi holds the current quote so it doesn't change mid-transaction. If you take too long to confirm, the quote may become stale and the transaction could revert. Slippage tolerance accounts for minor price movement - your swap reverts if the output falls below your threshold, so you never receive less than you've agreed to.
Can I refer friends?
Yes. Generate a referral link from the swap interface and share it. Referrals are tracked on-chain. A referral dashboard is coming soon. See Referrals.
Can I use freaky.fi from the terminal?
Yes. The CLI gives you the same quote comparison in your terminal. Install with npm install -g @freaky.fi/cli and run freaky quote 1000 usdc for eth on base.
Can I integrate freaky.fi into my app?
Embed the swap widget via iframe, use deeplinks for URL-based integration, or the API for programmatic access.
